SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the here Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level made for intervention ordeals a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who check out click here a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
